Care Certificate

Care Certificate training for safe induction and evidence.

The Care Certificate is a structured induction route for staff new to health and social care. Training supports the standards, but the employer must assess competence in the workplace.

Designed and delivered by Suroj Aryal, former CQC registered manager, with over four years leading nursing and residential services, fifteen years in adult social care, a Level 3 Award in Education and Training, and experience achieving a Good CQC rating as registered manager.

Content reviewed: 9 July 2026. CQC framework guidance is changing during 2026; providers should check current CQC guidance before relying on framework detail.

The useful answer

The Care Certificate is not just a classroom exercise. Employers need evidence that staff understand the standards and can apply them in practice.

The Care Certificate moved from 15 to 16 standards in March 2025. Standard 16, Awareness of Learning Disability and Autism, is standalone and required across registered services from July 2025.

How Haverton supports induction

We can deliver induction sessions, give managers a standards tracker and help providers plan observations, supervision and evidence sign-off.

For new CQC applicants, this helps turn recruitment plans into a realistic training and competence pathway.

Frequently asked questions

Can Haverton sign off the Care Certificate for my staff?

Haverton can support training and evidence planning. The employer remains responsible for assessing workplace competence and signing off staff against the standards.

Does Haverton Care Hub training guarantee CQC compliance?

No. Training can support competence, safer practice and better evidence, but it cannot guarantee compliance, a registration decision, a CQC rating or an inspection outcome.

Will staff receive a certificate?

Staff can receive a Haverton Care Hub certificate of attendance or completion where appropriate. A certificate is not the same as competence, so course materials include a competency framework the provider can use after training.

Can training be delivered remotely?

Many knowledge-based sessions can be delivered live online. Practical competence subjects, including moving and handling and basic life support, must be delivered in person unless the owner confirms an awarding-body model that permits another approach.

Training strengthens your staff's competence and the quality of your evidence. It does not guarantee any CQC rating, registration decision or inspection outcome.
